Colorado Law and the Youth Advisory Council
Colorado 2008 HB 1157. $8,472 appropriated to the
Legislative Department for allocation to the council for the fiscal year
beginning July 1, 2008. Creates the Youth Advisory Council Cash Fund in
the State Treasury to provide for the direct and indirect costs associated with
the council. Members shall be compensated for attendance at meetings in
same manner as legislative members attending meetings during the legislative
session. All expenditures shall be approved by the chair of the council
and paid for by vouchers and warrants drawn from appropriations made by the
General Assembly or from the Youth Advisory Council Cash Fund.
Membership Number: 44, Ages: 14-19, Junior, Middle or High School; home school; or GED
program. Other: (Non-voting) 2
members of the House of Representatives, 2 members of the Senate.
