Bio

Alice is The Civic Canopy first remote employee working out of her Leadville office. She coordinates Community Learning Development Partnerships in Alamosa and Eagle counties. As a Collaboration Manager, she brings decades of experience in rural communities around engaging youth, families, and Latinx communities, facilitating successful coalitions, equitable evaluation, and project management. Throughout her work, she weaves the Canopy’s Community Learning Model to create the conditions for social change. Alice brings extensive experience in non-profit management, creating sustainable initiatives, community engagement, facilitating community change, creating culturally responsive organizations and lifting voices through the art of narrative and storytelling. Alice is bi-lingual in Spanish and English is a returned Peace Corps volunteer and received her BA in Sociology from Fairfield University.
